Erica Alcocer was introduced to our Fiesta Youth group on February 27, 2018. She is a self-identifying queer Latina, SA native, and student at UTSA. Her vision for programming is to fuse her passions for activism, empowering creativity via the arts, and support of LGBTQ+ communities by producing content focused on holding safe spaces that welcome expression and connection. We are excited to have Erica on our Fiesta Youth team and look forward to all the great programming she will bring to our organization.

Fiesta Youth is excited to partner with San Antonio DreamWeek 2018 and dedicate a night of programming to the mission. Our night of programming will be on January 16, 2018, and our title is "Diversity in Action!"
DreamWeek is a summit of events that fosters the exchange of ideas on universal issues in order to advance the voices of tolerance, equality, and diversity. The January, city-wide summit takes place in and around downtown San Antonio. The aim is to invite all to participate in an open forum where real-world issues are discussed in a well-balanced manner, with the understanding that the truest voices will always prevail. Summit events includes symposiums, film screenings, concerts, art gallery exhibits, panel discussions, health and fitness expos, mixers, and debates. Get a list of the events on their website at http://dreamweek.org
The first major 4C For LGBT co-sponsored event is here! This November 14th at The Rollercade (223 Recoleta), join us and our friends with Spectrum at UTSA for a rollicking night (7:30 - 10 P.M.) of queer camaraderie! The first 20 UTSA students with a UTSA ID in hand get in free! Don’t worry if you aren’t the best skater - we will also have games on site for when you take a break. Be there or be square!
